Celebrate the Birth of a Rare Filly

Celebrate the Birth of a Rare Filly

January 1, 2019. The Robertson family anxiously awaits the birth of a new addition to their brood of horses. This is no average horse though - this is a very rare filly! The filly's pedigree is one-of-a-kind, tracing back to some of the most prestigious bloodlines in the world.

As the Robertson's watch, the filly finally arrives and is quickly assessed by the veterinarian. She is healthy and appears to be in good condition, despite her difficult birth. The Robertson's are elated and can't wait to begin raising their new filly and teaching her all about being a horse.

From an early age, it is clear that this filly is something special. She has an innate athleticism and quick learner which sets her apart from other horses in the barn. The Robertson family spends hours every day training her and competing in various equestrian events.

The filly's talent soon catches the attention of renowned horse trainers and she is offered a spot on a top show jumping team. She goes on to compete in major international competitions, often placing in the top three. At just six years old, she becomes one of the youngest riders ever to win an Olympic gold medal.

The Robertson family celebrates the birth of their amazing filly and are proud to see her reach her full potential as one of the world's best horses.

Filly Born at Kentucky Auction House

A filly was born at a Kentucky auction house on November 10th, 2018. The thoroughbred was the first to be born at the auction house in three years.

The filly's arrival was greeted with much fanfare as she was welcomed by her new family. She is the fifth foal born to her parents, who were both purchased at the auction house. Her siblings include two colts and two fillies.

The new addition is sure to bring excitement to the auction house and its customers. She is already making headlines and will no doubt be one of the most sought-after horses at the next auction.

Another Filly is Added to the Kentucky Derby Contender List

The Kentucky Derby is now only a few weeks away and, as with each year, the list of contenders keeps changing. On Tuesday, yet another filly was added to the mix when trainer Mark Casse announced that he would be running Frontier Romance in the Run for the Roses.

This is Casse's first time ever entering a filly in the derby, and it will be interesting to see how she fares against the boys. In fact, she has never even raced against other fillies, so it's anyone's guess as to how well she will do on May 6th.

Her sire, Ghostzapper, has already had some success at the derby, with two of his colts - Lookin At Lee and McCraken - finishing in the top four last year. And her dam, Front Runner Romance, was also a stakes winner, so there is definitely some good racing bloodlines at play here.

At this point, Frontier Romance is considered a long shot to win the race, but we will have to wait and see how she does in her training leading up to May 6th. In any case, it will be exciting to watch her run and see if she can make a name for herself in horse racing history.

Racehorse Owners Eye Filly at Keeneland Sales

A three-year old filly by Bernardini out of the Graeme Hall mare, Parade View, commanded attention from bloodstock agents and racehorse owners at the Keeneland Sales this week. Bred in Kentucky by Stone Farm, the dark bay or brown filly is the first foal out of Parade View, who was a $725,000 buy-in at the 2013 Fasig-Tipton November Sale.

"She's a really good-looking filly," said agent Joe Allard. "I like her pedigree a lot. She's by Bernardini, and her dam is out of a stakes winner."

Allard reports that several buyers were interested in the filly but that she ultimately sold for $360,000 to an unknown owner/breeder.

Despite her impressive pedigree, some bloodstock agents believe that the filly may have been overpriced at such a young age. "I thought she was a nice horse, but I didn't think she was worth $360,000," said one agent. "She hasn't done anything yet."

Time will tell if this particular filly becomes a successful racehorse, but for now, she has caught the attention of many potential owners and should make for an interesting addition to any stable.

Triple Crown Hopes Ride on Filly

The Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes are in the books, but the Triple Crown is still on the line as the Belmont Stakes approaches. The 3-year-old filly Songbird is considered the favorite to win and complete horse racing's most illustrious achievement.

With both Classic Empire and Always Dreaming faltering in the last legs of the Triple Crown, there's a lot of speculation about who will take home the Belmont trophy on June 10th. While Giant's Causeway, Gun Runner, and Neolithic are all viable contenders, most experts believe that it will be Songbird who crosses the finish line first.

The daughter of Medaglia d'Oro was undefeated in her first eight races before finishing second in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies last November. She came back this year with three consecutive wins, including a come-from-behind victory in the Santa Anita Oaks.

It will certainly be an exciting race to watch, and we'll be rooting for Songbird as she looks to make history!
